IT Teacher

Summerhill School is looking for an IT Teacher who can:

  • Teach IT to 6 – 17 year old students
  • Demonstrate ability to teach IT up to GCSE level
  • Keep the IT infrastructure running and up to date (internet, printers, computers etc)

Further, experience with coding and creative media (Photoshop) is desirable. Also, photography and film making skills an advantage.

This position is full-time and live-in. Single accommodation only.
Ability to work in the UK is essential.
Start date September 2017.

Houseparent

An exciting opportunity to work in the oldest children's democracy in the world.

The 'Shack' houseparent is responsible for the well-being of a group of students (male and female) aged approximately between 13 and 15 years.

In addition, to house-parenting duties, the successful applicant would be expected to make a significant contribution to school life in areas best suited to his/her skill set. This might for example include working a few hours a week as a teaching assistant or, if suitably qualified, teaching a particular subject (e.g. French or Economics). Alternatively, the successful applicant may be in a position to take on various administrative tasks and/or be involved in a variety of activities.

This combined position is full-time and live-in. Single accommodation only.
Ability to work in the UK is essential.
